Web Designer

A challenging yet rewarding role for the right candidate to work within an ever expanding industry.

Ticketgroup.ie has a vacancy for a GRAPHIC / WEB designer with strong experience in front /back end design within a fast moving website environment. The ideal candidate must have a very creative flair. The candidate will be responsible for the design of new websites and the improvement of existing websites.

Responsible for:

Website Design - From Prototype to final production working with our programmers

Innovating ways to solve challenging business and user experience problems

Developing functional prototypes of web pages and web sites with our programmers

Existing website maintenance

Integration of new additions, looks and designs

Design solutions for Web pages

Requirements:

Excellent understanding of GUI design HTML, XHTML, CSS

Ability to code by hand HTML and CSS (no WYSIWYG)

1-3 Years previous experience in planning, designing and implementing website layouts

Experience in Adobe Photoshop and Illustrator essential

General understanding of Web Technologies such as – AJAX and Javascript

Good Knowledge of designing with a programming team

Excellent creative skills, conceptual mind and passionate about graphic and web design

Knowledge of Web 2.0/3.0 and up to date with design trends

Experience of Cross Browser Testing, Firefox, IE6,IE7,IE8,Safari, Mobile Browsers and Google Chrome

Bachelor's degree in a related discipline preferred. Proven commercial experience may suffice

You must supply links to urls of your work and a brief description of work carried out by you on each project.

Desirable:

Adobe flash

Knowledge of SEO, JQuery

Some knowledge of a programming language PHP,C# is of benefit

Experience with mobile website design and desktop applications is also of benefit

Experience in eCommerce consumer driven websites would also be of assistance
